arggh. how could they do this to me. i feel so cheated. and unless ur a soccer fan. dont bother reading. cus u wont understand the agony i m feeling at the moment.

reina, carra, hyypia, kromkamp, riise, gerrard, aurelio, zenden, sissoko, bellamy and fowler.

not really first choice. why kromkamp and zenden. in the whole match, liverpool really looked short of that gilt edged pass that would give them a proper chance la. alonso would have provided that. kromkamp was hopelss, giving the ball away all the time and letting players like webber drift past him again and again. aurelio the main villian, fine, hes not bad at set pieces, but when the manager asks u to defend and u happen to be a liverpool player in the middle of the penalty box defending a free kick, u dun turn spectator. He didnt even make an effort to get past hulse. and his slow and disinterested attitude is like so totally annoying me man. get those two full backs out.

den another question, why fowler and bellamy, why not crouch and bellamy, fowler shud have been on the bench. no doubt he scored a superb penalty but he didnt look sharp and was short on match fitness. furthermore the crouch bellamy combi had already yielded a goal against chelsea. fowler should have came on later just to get some minutes replacing crouch and use his touches to release bellamy's pace against a more tired opposition. crouch would also have been a better alternative. pools long balls werent working, they were dominated in the air, so its like if they had crouch, they had a guy who could better compete with physical presence of the opposing defenders, his ability to hold up the ball would also allow wide players like gonzales and gerrard to draw the defenders out of position, ultimately releasing the space to maximise the pace of bellamy.

true fowler had a hand in the equalising goal but the entire match would have been different if i had it my way. soccer. it was it is i guess. soccer. oh wells. overflow of world cup crap. and next time, do a more extensive warm up so u wouldnt lose 2 players in the first half. its twisted ankles man, if u warm up better, ankles are more flexible and less likely to get twisted.

player ratings:
reina 7 [afew good catches, otherwise, not really tested]
riise 5 [pity to get injured so early]
carragher 6 [pity to get injured as well]
hyypia 7 [was good in the air and a threat in the box, but guilty of bad defending at times]
aggar 7 [did well to replace carra, could have conceded less throw ins]
aurelio 4 [the goal was totally his fault, more interested in going forward den defending, often caught out of position]
kromkamp 3 [plain horrible, gave the ball and free kicks away too often, throw ins are horrendous too, got a petty yellow card too]
zenden 6 [didnt play too well but was much better in the second half]
sissoko 6 [didnt play too well either but showed some good touches and made some good tackles, long way to go before being world class thou]
gerrard 8 [inspirational as usual, was his neat one two that led to the penalty, but still not at his best]
gonzales 6 [showed flashes of his pace and skill but was physically overpowered]
pennant 5 [too little time to show off wad he could do]
fowler 7 [good performance considering him not being match fit, his first touch seems to have left him]
bellamy 6 [a menace in the first half but was kinda transparent in the second]
